NASA puts shuttle launch pad in Florida up for lease
United States space agencies in their procurement notice on the site, said it is looking for one or more companies to take over the operation and maintenance of launch complex 39A.
The plant has two launch pads at the Kennedy Space Center was built in 1960 by the 1900s to support one of the Apollo missions. Both were later modified in the shuttles began flying in 1981.
